The Swipewipes.co.uk Race Boat

The Hull is based on a Steve Baker designed Phantom 31ft race boat. Phantom Powerboats (UK) built one of the most successful UK mono-hulled race boats, winning many times in Class 3, Class 2 in the UK, Europe and Worldwide. Phantom Powerboats ceased in 2000.

In 2008, the Round Britain race took place. This race was last run in 1984, it was time to build a new boat to do this great event. The new boat would be 32' 10" long, have a pad keel like the later Phantoms and built to take 2 Steyr-motor marine diesel engines. Long range tanks, suspension seats, self draining cockpit and a front ballast water tank were all to be included in the build of the new boat.
